We LOVE Our Bus!

With so many cuts you’d think the government got a special deal on scissors.. but unfortunately the ramifications aren’t so frivolous: many of us are facing great disruption to our way of life. It seems to be getting harder and harder to live a frugal life, especially with the threats to the local bus services here in Herefordshire (and all over the country)

If you live out in the sticks, you’re elderly or you’re a student you’ll know how important the buses are. If we fail to act strongly the chances are you’ll be left stranded or looking at forking out for greater fuel costs through driving yourself or participating in a carshare scheme..

So here’s your chance! Transition Hereford’s Transport Workgroup has organised a forum to answer questions about the future of public transport in Hereford and YOU are invited to come and have your say:

Campaign to protect and improve bus services in Herefordshire

PUBLIC MEETING @ 11am next Saturday, 16th April, 2011.

@ FRIENDS MEETING HOUSE, KING STREET, HEREFORD, round the corner from the Library.

Candidates representing each party standing for election on May 6th have been invited to take your questions about their plans for our buses, if elected. They want your vote!

Herefordshire Council Transport Department also invited to come along to join the Q&A panel.

Professor Les Lumsden, Save Our Buses, will assess the successes of the Campaign so far and advise on our next steps to protect and improve our bus network for all users.

Please come and have your say. Bring friends, neighbours, countrymen and their ears.
